Data Protection Training

Privacy by Design only works if you know how to design for privacy.

Privacy is a skill that can be learned.  We make it fun and effective for your employees.

We provide effective games-based training for companies to help understand data protection, privacy, reputation, and trust.  Our training is based on principles of adult-learning, filled with real-world examples, and understands that businesses need to understand the privacy options.

Training for leaders who want to know how data protection fits into their strategies and priorities.

  • Strategy for Executives: most leaders don't get specific privacy training.  They want to understand how to make strategic decisions about data protection, including where to invest and what risks to prevent. We offer privacy trainings to the executive team in a fun format that helps leaders understand how to strategize reputation and trust.

Training for organizations that understand the value of embedding privacy skills throughout the company.

  • Privacy Advocates: Software engineers want to build privacy into their products, but need concrete steps.  Security engineers already protect user data, but want to know if there is more to privacy.  Data analysts work with data all the time, and have specific questions about noise, error, and privacy protections.  Our privacy trainings target technical and experienced engineers to round out their privacy knowledge.

Your company may choose to invest in bespoke training for your technical team to upgrade their privacy skills.

Specific topics may include, depending on your company's needs:

  • Privacy-enhancing technologies (PET): Know which PET to use, and when.
  • Legacy Technology: Identify which legacy technologies your company may rely on that may require data protection upgrades.
  • Privacy Frameworks: Gain a structured framework for methodically identifying threats.
  • Privacy personas and vulnerable populations:  Design privacy for the broad spectrum of people.
  • Privacy risk assessment:  Methodically assess risk and costs of a privacy vulnerability
  • Privacy pen-testing: Understand privacy attacks and how to implement them ethically for in-house testing of data protection.
  • Responsible AI: How do existing privacy frameworks help?
